QUESTION: Do you have a minimum order requirement?
ANSWER: We have a £200 minimum order requirement if this is your first purchase, and thereafter the minimum order quantities are displayed with each product (normally 6 bottles per product). There is no minimum order on 1 litre salon-size solutions or trade starter packs.

QUESTION: What are the delivery costs and how soon will I have my order?
ANSWER: Your products will be dispatched via courier/Royal Mail, depending on order size. Postage costs are charged at cost and depend on the size of the order (delivery is free for orders over £500). Delivery time will be confirmed shortly after you have placed your order and, depending on order size and product, will typically be between 5-10 working days.

QUESTION: Do your prices include VAT?
ANSWER: Prices shown on our trade website exclude VAT.

QUESTION: What is your returns policy?
ANSWER: In order to receive a refund, products must be returned to us within 10 days of delivery in their original condition, i.e. unopened and unused. Shipping costs are not refundable. If you would like to return your order, please contact us at info@famousdave.co.uk for further instructions prior to returning any items.

QUESTION: How can I pay for my order?
ANSWER: Nochex is a highly secure method to safely and conveniently send and receive payments via our website using your credit or debit card. We currently accept the following cards: Visa, Switch, Solo, Maestro, Visa Electron and Visa Debit (Delta). We are happy to accept phone orders, after which we will raise an invoice to your company. Payments can also be made by cheque, made payable to Famous Dave Ltd. All payments are pro-forma, unless otherwise agreed in writing by Famous Dave Ltd.

BELOW ARE ANSWERS TO OUR MOST COMMONLY ASKED CUSTOMER QUESTIONS

QUESTION: I tend to buy more expensive brands for my face and use the cheaper versions for my body. How is this for the face?
ANSWER: Famous Dave's Self Tanners work equally well on your face and body. What's great is that you only need a tiny amount for your face.

QUESTION: Other products can leave your hands discoloured and I wondered if your products will do that?
ANSWER: Yes they can. ALL self-tanning products contain dihydroxyacetone. This is what tans you. It works by bonding with the protein in your skin. Provided your hands are washed thoroughly with soap and water for at least 30 seconds - immediately following application - NO self tanner will give you tanned palms.

QUESTION: How long can you expect the tan to last before it wears off?
ANSWER: People are different although you can expect your colour to remain for 3-4 days (Fair Skin & Face Tanner and Moisture Tan), or up to 7 days (Mousse and Spray Tan) depending on your skin type. It will then begin to gradually lighten naturally until more is applied.

QUESTION: Are your tanners waterproof?
ANSWER: Famous Dave's Self Tanners will not wash off even while showering with soap, providing that you have exfoliated well prior to tanning and wait at least one hour after each application.

QUESTION: How about the problem with streaking?
ANSWER: Famous Dave's Moisture Tan and Fair Skin & Face Tanner are different than most other products in that they are not a gel or a greasy cream. They apply very easily. Famous Dave's Tanning Mousse and Spray Tan come with a guide colour to ensure even application.
However, remember self tanning products will tan you where you put them. If your application is haphazard and sloppy, so too will be your tan.

QUESTION: How long to wait before clothes can be put on? Will it get on my bed linen when I sleep?
ANSWER: Famous Dave's Self Tanners dry to the touch almost immediately as they are applied to the skin and dressing can occur within 5 minutes of the application. Famous Dave's tanners do not rub out on sheets or clothing, provided that you have exfoliated well prior to tanning. The guide colour can rub off onto your clothing or bedding, but it will wash off easily.

QUESTION: Do your tanners have colour in them so you can tell where to apply them?
ANSWER: Famous Dave's Tanning Mousse and Spray Tan come with a guide colour to ensure an even application. Because Famous Dave's Self Moisture Tan and Fair Skin & Face Tanner go on so smoothly without streaking, there is no need for a colour additive.

QUESTION: How dark does this stuff get you compared to other tanners or in general?
ANSWER: Famous Dave's Fair Skin & Face Tanner is suitable for those with a very pale skin tone. Famous Dave's Moisture Tan is suitable for most skin tones and will get your skin as dark as you would like. Once applied, your colour will develop in about 4 hours. After that time, if you would like a darker tan, just re-apply.
Famous Dave's Tanning Mousse and Spray Tan are also suitable for most skin tones and will give you an instant, dark tan.
