Contacting us about your order
If
an order hasn't yet arrived, please follow the below instructions
All
orders placed before 2pm on a normal working day (Mon-Fri, excluding
bank holidays) will be dispatched the same day. Whilst most orders
arrive with our customers in a very timely manner, on very rare
occasions there may be an unforeseen postal delay that means your
order takes longer to reach you. Where a delivery delay does occur,
this is unfortunately completely out of our control as it is the
carrier's responsibility to deliver your order once our warehouse
has passed it over to them.
What
to do if your order hasn't yet arrived:
1. If you chose Courier Delivery during checkout:
Courier delivery is a trackable courier service that
is normally delivered within 1-2 working days of dispatch (not
including weekends or public holidays). If your order hasn't arrived
within 2 working days, please contact us at info(at)famousdave.co.uk
with your name, address, and order reference number, and request
a tracking number.
2.
If you chose European Airmail or International Airmail during
checkout:
European and International parcels are sent via Airmail and normally
take 5-14 working days (European) or 7-30 working days (International)
of dispatch to arrive. If your order has not arrived after this
timeframe, please contact us by emailing info(at)famousdave.co.uk
3.
If you chose Standard Delivery during checkout:
Royal Mail 1st Class Recorded delivery is normally very
efficient and usually takes anywhere between 1-5
working days to arrive (please note, working days
are Monday-Friday, not weekends or public holidays).
If
your order hasn't arrived after
5 working days, please contact us at info(at)famousdave.co.uk
quoting your name, address, and order reference number and request
a tracking number. You will then be able to contact Royal Mail
on 08457 740 740 or via their website www.royalmail.com, quoting
your tracking number to establish your parcel's location.
If
after 15 working days
your order still hasn't arrived, please contact us - we will file
a claim for loss with Royal Mail and send you out a replacement
order straight away. An order cannot be classed as lost
until after 15 working days (Mon-Fri) have passed, and
we will not be able to issue a refund or replacement until 15
working days have passed and Royal Mail have confirmed the loss.
There are no exceptions to this rule as your order is very likely
to still arrive during this time and is in transit to you through
the Royal Mail delivery system - most orders that are delayed
DO still arrive. If you require guaranteed delivery by a certain
date please select Courier Delivery during checkout.
Famous Dave Ltd cannot be held liable for any Royal Mail delivery
delays.

Please note, Royal Mail follow up every claim for loss directly
with the customer to prevent fraud - you will need to confirm
in writing to them that you have not received the original item.

If no-one is available to take delivery of the parcel, the postman
will usually leave a delivery card. You can then either collect
the parcel from your local Royal Mail delivery depot or arrange
redelivery via www.royalmail.com. Please note that if you do not
collect your parcel within 7 days of the original delivery attempt,
it will be returned to us. We are happy to resend the order after
it has been returned to us, however because Royal Mail have attempted
delivery we are unfortunately unable to resend your parcel free
of charge. The original postage and packaging charges will apply
again and need to be paid in advance by the customer before a
returned order can be resent.

Please note that if your order has been signed for, it will be
deemed as delivered and you will need to contact your local Royal
Mail delivery office for any disputes.
